Justin Bieber visits girlfriend Selena Gomez and her mother in hospital after 'baby heartbreak'

Downcast: Selena Gomez's boyfriend Justin Bieber was spotted paying a visit to Gomez's mother in hospital today


A concerned Justin Bieber visited his girlfriend Selena Gomez and her mother in hospital yesterday.

The 17-year-old looked downcast as he rolled up to an LA hospital in his custom-made $160,000 Range Rover.

The family are in mourning after Selena's mother reportedly suffered a miscarriage last week.

The 19-year-old singer cancelled on two festive-themed gigs which were scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday.


Although Gomez has cited a 'family emergency' as the reason behind the sudden cancellation, a source close to the singer told E! Online that her mother Mandy Teefey had lost her unborn child.

The former Wizards Of Waverly Place star announced on her Twitter page last month her mother Mandy, 35, was expecting a child with her husband, Gomez's stepfather Brian Teefey.

Gomez had been due to perform on Saturday at the B96 Jingle Bash 2011 at the Allstate Arena outside of Chicago.

She was also due to perform on Sunday at 106.1 KISS FM's Jingle Bell Bash at the WaMu Theater in Seattle.

Now the entire Seattle concert has had to be postponed after OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder was also forced to pull out after doctors ordered him to rest his vocals.

Selena learned of the family emergency on Friday night while in the audience at Power 106's Cali Christmas 2011 concert in Los Angeles.

She left immediately and headed home.


The Wizards of Waverly Place star is next scheduled to perform at MTV's New Year's Eve party, hosted by Demi Lovato and Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey.

A spokesman for Gomez did not immediately respond when contacted by MailOnline.
