But Twilight star Kristen Stewart, 21, was spotted on her way to a secret rendezvous with her on and off-screen boyfriend Robert Pattinson at his West London apartment yesterday.

And while she might have been thrilled to see her beau, the brunette star did however look exhausted as she entered the building around lunchtime.

With no make-up on her complexion and her long dark locks dishevelled, she dressed in an over-sized baggy charcoal sweater.

Meanwhile her man was seen arriving at the abode two days earlier in the thick of the London night fog.

The heartthrob was also covered up from the cold in a hoodie and beanie hat.

The couple's meeting comes after Robert was recently promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in Paris, without Kristen.

Instead he cosied up to his other co-star Ashley Greene on the red-carpet.

Meanwhile Kristen has been busy in the UK filming Snow White And The Huntsman.

Kristen and Robert will however promote the film together in the U.S, where they will walk the red-carpet together this month.

Anticipation for the latest installment of the Twilight saga is already reaching fever pitch, with one event in particular on people's lips (and minds).

Kristen and Robert will appear in the first sex scene of the series - due for release on November 18.

And to add fuel to the hype, the actress has admitted that the first time they filmed it, things got so heated that the scene had to be completely re-cut.

Perhaps the couple were keen to make the most of the event, given the long wait.

Describing the experience in an interview with Glamour magazine, Kristen said: 'It was so weird, it didn't even feel like we were doing a Twilight film. I was like, 'Bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?!'

'It was very surreal. We [originally] got rated R. They re-cut it,' she revealed.

It was clearly something the pair had looked forward to for some time, as Kristen told Access Hollywood last year: 'It doesn't get more action-packed… [But] they definitely get more physical. Well, they get married.'

And she joked: 'We totally have sex – finally!'

Robert was equally thrilled with the development, which is well-known to readers of the Stephenie Meyer books.

'I'm looking forward to the pillow-biting scene,' he said. 'I thought that was so funny. Of all the random things too do, really? He bites the pillow.'

But as the pivotal day grew closer, excitement gave way to nerves as Kirsten and her beau started to feel the pressure to look their best.

'Usually we all make fun of Taylor for working out so often, and then suddenly me and Rob were like 'S***' and were running around the block while Taylor laughed at us,' Kristen told Glamour.

The wedding scene, another landmark for fans, was also an occasion wrought with stress, as Kristen's dress was under Kate Middleton-esque security to ensure the details of its design were not leaked.

'I had to be shrouded in secrecy the entire two days of filming,' the actress divulged.

'It was crazy… I was on full lockdown, as if I was wearing millions of dollars' worth of diamonds.'
