It has been alleged that a woman claims her boyfriend Justin Bieber fathered her child.

But Selena Gomez has proved she is made of stronger stuff than most, as she stepped out at an event in Los Angeles tonight.

The 19-year-old singer and actress looked stunning in an asymmetrical silver dress with cut out detail, showing off her enviable figure.

The singer teamed her revealing dress with a pair of T-bar heels for the occasion.

Selena wore her glossy hair, which had been preened at a hairdressers shortly before the event, around her shoulders and donned a pair of silver hoop earrings.

Ahead of the event the actress was seen leaving a salon wearing a cropped black leather jacket and clutching her phone.

Selena joined Eva Longoria on the red carpet for the 2011 Fulfillment Fund Event at the Beverly Hills Hilton hotel.

The Desperate Housewives star stepped out in a muted blue dress which boasted ruffled detail and a cut-out neckline.

The event was hosted by actor Jason Segel and Kermit the Frog while guests were also treated to a live performance by The Lion King theatrical cast.

The Fulfillment Fund provides first-generation, low-income students with the support necessary to graduate from high school and go on to college.

Selena’s appearance comes after reports emerged today that a woman is claiming that her boyfriend teenage singing superstar Justin Bieber has fathered a child.

The singer appeared on the show to sing a song from his Christmas album.
