Rough night? Kim Kardashian looked glum as she left her hotel in New York today in an unflattering outfit


Kim Kardashian looks like she had a rough night.

The 30-year-old reality star left her hotel in New York this morning appearing like she had just thrown her outfit together and looked glum.

She hid behind dark glasses as she was makeup free and did not look like her usual glamorous self.


The newlywed, who recently married basketball player Kris Humphries, wore a pair of light coloured jeans, a beige blouse and black jacket.

She paired it with nude shoes, a large gold necklace and her ever present gargantuan wedding and engagement rings.

The reality star had her trusty black Hermes Birkin bag and made her way to her waiting vehicle from the Gansevoort Hotel which is her temporary home while in the city.

Kim recently spoke about how she was introduced to female grooming.

She said her late father, Robert, once hired a professional make-up artist to teach her and her sisters how to do their own.

'My dad - when we were 14 - got us make up lessons for Christmas and had us videotape them and had a real-life person do our make up and teach us how to wear Make up,' she said of the experience she had with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

Kim told Radar Online that her father knew his daughters were going to start wearing make up and wanted them to look presentable.

'It was really cool and we have turned out to be the biggest trannies because of it,' she shared.

Khloe Kardashian who is just as famous for her flawless complexion as sister Kim, said: 'We joke and say that we are like trannies because we love hair and make up. I don't think we necessarily need it, but we love it.'

Khloe who was interviewed with Kim, said of her younger older sister 'Kim definitely if you take off what's on her face, her face is the exact same.

'She doesn't need it, it's just a mind thing to her. She really doesn't need any of that on her face.'

Kim who doesn't hide her love of make up, hit back at the people who tell her to tone down her look, 'We had publicists and people who would tell us, "Girls, tone it down. Stop wearing all the makeup."'

But then we would read on our blogs - like in the comments and everything - and everyone was like, 'What lipstick is this, what mascara do you use?'

'We were like, 'We love make-up, so why try and be what we're not?'

The reality star is in the Big Apple filming the second series of their spin-off show Kourtney & Kim Take New York.

They have been enjoying themselves by going to a Black Eyed Peas concert and spent a day at an aquarium with Kourtney's son Mason.
