A pectacular sight: True Blood star Joe Manganiello showed of his buff physique as he went topless in Hawaii today with his girlfriend

He will be used to getting plenty of werewolf whistles from playing hunky Alceed in TV hit True Blood.

And Joe Manganiello showed he is just as buff in real life showing off his impressive muscles as he walked around topless in Hawaii today.

The popular star, who is most famous for paying the dashing werewolf, flashed the flesh as he enjoyed a holiday in the idyllic beauty spot.

He donned a pair of swimming shorts, a reversed baseball cap and not much else as he fraternised with a bikini wearing blonde in the surf.

And while Joe certainly cut a fine figure his girlfriend Audra Marie also appeared to be in tip top form.

The blonde showed off a mis-matched bikini wearing a red bandeau top and a pair of multi-coloured print pants, an ensemble which emphasised her great curves.

No doubt the tantalising shots of Joe, 34, prancing around on the beach will entice his female fans to watch him play amusingly named stripper Big Dick Richie in upcoming movie Magic Mike.

He is featuring alongside Channing Tatum, whose titular main character passes along his wisdom to an upstart played by Alex Pettyfer.

But the actor has revealed he is so scared of his family seeing him with his trousers down that he has banned them from watching it.

He said: 'I told them a few weeks ago that no one is seeing this movie.
'They’ll probably see it anyway, but at least they’ve had two seasons of True Blood to get used to it.'

The drama flick is partly based on Channing Tatum's experiences as a male stripper in Tampa, Florida when he was just 19-years-old.

And Joe said there are plenty of larger than life characters that will appeal to viewers.

He said: 'Everybody kinda does their own thing. Big sexy Kevin Nash has his Tarzan thing, I’ve got my fireman thing, Matt Bomer’s got a doctor thing going on, Adam Rodriguez does a Latino lover bit.'
